Marc and I would like to share "Big Blue Lou" with everyone. Lou is a sweet, gentle one-year old (actually 1 on Sunday, August 8 ) blue dane we rescued on Saturday, August 7. When we rescued Lou we were told he had a medical problem, but after taking him to the doctor we learned Lou is much sicker than expected. . . [more. . .]

Pine Mountain Danes acquires Great Danes from a variety of sources including rescues, organizations, and animal shelters. After receiving specialized training, these Danes provide increased independence to Parkinson's disease sufferers and others with disabling mobility impairments, such as and Multiple Sclerosis, improving the lives of both Dane and disabled person.
